NetEnt announces Double Stacks™ slot including 4 Maximum payouts

While it has been only two days ago that NetEnt launched the Swipe and Roll™ slot, another new NetEnt slot has been announced as well. This time it’s called Double Stacks™, another classic-themed game with a modern gameplay like Swipe and Roll™, Twin Spin™, and Twin Spin Deluxe™. Never seen before, NetEnt added four Maximum payouts of which I’m sure you’ll be ready to collect!

Double Stacks™ game launch

Coming to the NetEnt Casinos first, is the Berryburst™ video slot on the 23rd of August which will bring some sort of sequel to the mega-popular Starburst™ slot. This definitely is a video slot to look forward to as there will be a Max version available as well, completely new to the industry! A MAX game will mainly attract players looking for games with high win potential. It will be NetEnt’s first MAX double release with the BerryBurst™ slot and BerryBurst™ MAX becoming available at the NetEnt Casinos.

Henrik Fagerlund, Chief Product Officer of NetEnt, says: “It is important for us to diversify the volatility in our games as we know that our partners are demanding more flexible games catering to different player needs, and we are a supplier that listens to our customers and deliver quality. We are certain that the MAX releases will add another dimension to our already hugely popular portfolio, and we are pleased to increase the standard of the gameplay experience for players.”

The industry is very much looking forward to the above release and I’m sure the same goes for the Double Stacks™ slot. In the style of Twin Spin™, Twin Spin™ Deluxe, and Joker Pro™, the Double Stacks™ slot is offering a classic-themed video slot with a modern gameplay.

Yet again, we see a video slot with five reels filled with old-fashioned fruit symbols such as the melon, the lemon, the cherry, and the plum, accompanied by the good old Bar symbol, the diamond, and the Liberty Bell.

Watching the above preview video, you’ll very soon find out where the game got its name from with all single symbols on the reel turning into two symbols as the entire reel is filled with the same symbol. Such a reel is often called a stacked reel resulting in a Double Stacked reel.

What to expect from the Double Stack™ slot features?

While I explained where the Double Stacks™ slot got its name from, I, unfortunately, have no clue what these double stacks mean to your winnings. A logical approach would result in double symbols paying double the win, but what if not all symbols involved in a winning combination are double? I guess we’ll have to wait until the 24th of September to find out what this Double Stack feature is really all about. For now, it’s obvious that you want to see as many Double Stacked reels as possible for enormous wins!

The Double Stacks feature is rather innovative, but the remaining slot features are pretty traditional including a Wild, a Scatter and Free Spins. I assume that the Wild feature is doing what it is invented for which is substituting all other symbols in the game. As far as I can see the Wild will be available during the main game as well as in Free Spins.

While classic-themed, NetEnt didn’t hesitate to add a Free Spins feature as well. Three Scatters will have the honour to activate the Free Spins feature which will result in at least 5 free spins.

I can’t help to notice that there are four boxes available shown on top of the game with each of them linked to a symbol. I’m not 100% sure, but when all reels are filled with Double Stacks of 7, €5000 is what is being awarded, the exact amount available in the box with symbol 7 next to it. Coincidence or not?

There’s not much to say about this upcoming NetEnt slot yet as no details are available yet, but considering the popularity of the Twin Spin™ slot, I do believe that Double Stacks™ is having the potential to become much appreciated by players as well.
