NetEnt announces the Jumanji™ slot to be the newest branded slot game

In NetEnt’s 20 years of existence, many branded slot games have been developed in cooperation with some great brands. This resulted in a nice range of high-quality slots including Guns N’ Roses™, Jimi Hendrix™, Motörhead™, Dracula™, Emojiplanet™, Planet of the Apes™, and more. Now NetEnt managed to sign up another amazing brand which will lead us to the Jumanji™ slot of which the release date is yet unknown. What do I know so far?

Branded slot games NetEnt

One thing is for sure, NetEnt’s list of branded slot games is getting more interesting with every new branded game launched. Universal™, Emoji Company™, and 20th Century Fox™ are just some of the many companies NetEnt managed to sign up in the past years. Now another company is added as the newly announced branded slot will be developed in cooperation with Sony Pictures™.

This new cooperation will eventually end up in another high-quality branded slot game which will probably be released further on this year. While NetEnt sent out a message earlier that the 17th of January was going to bring a big announcement, nobody had any clue about what this announcement was going to be about. The video showed us nothing more than a date and a lion coming from the dark. Hard to figure out it was going to be Jumanji, but whoever saw the movie, the lion might have rung a bell.

Now the secret is out,  it’s time to get into the Jumanji™ slot, the newest addition to the long list of branded NetEnt slots.

The thing is, I have nothing more than an impressively animated tiger that probably will play a role in the Jumanji™ slot. Let’s get back in time to see what branded slots NetEnt created so far, an indication of what we can expect from this future branded NetEnt slot.

Since NetEnt’s establishment in 1996, NetEnt developed over 150 video slots with an incredible variety of video slot themes. Among these NetEnt slots, you’ll find a great number of branded slots like the four Universal Monsters™ slots The Invisible Man™, Dracula™, Frankenstein™, Creature from the Black Lagoon™ while The Phantom’s Curse™ (Phantom of the Opera) will be released the 24th January. Besides the Universal Monsters™ slots series, you can also enjoy the NetEnt Rocks slots including Guns N’ Roses™, Jimi Hendrix™, and Motörhead™.

Additional to these two branded slots series, you can also enjoy other branded slots like Planet of the Apes™, Emojiplanet™, two South Park™ slots while the Aliens™ slot and Scarface™ disappeared from the NetEnt stage in the past years.

About Jumanji

Premiered in 1995, I have to admit it has been a while since I saw Jumanji. It’s one of these films you forget about until, well until a successor is brought to the theatres. That’s exactly what is happening with Jumani: Welcome to the Jungle being available at the cinemas right now.

I’ll most probably hit the couch tonight watching Jumanji™, followed by a visit to the cinema on Friday. Why not? It will be next week that I might have some more ideas about what the Jumanji™ slot is going to bring to the reels.

For now, we have the traditional Jumanji story in which a young Alan Parrish discovers a mysterious board game. What he doesn’t realise is that the board game has unimaginable powers. At least, until he is magically transported before the startled eyes of his friend, Sarah, into the untamed jungles of Jumanji. The story goes that he remained there for 26 years until he is freed from the game’s spell by two unsuspecting children. Now a grown man, Alan reunites with Sarah and together with Judy and Peter tries to outwit the board game’s powerful forces resulting in an adventurous movie that stole the heart of many, no matter what generation!

Jumanji™ slot design and gameplay

Regarding the Jumanji™ slot, I predict that the design will be in the style of Jungle Spirit™ which isn’t on the list of branded slots but comes closest to the jungle animals-theme expected to be used in the Jumanji™ slot.

When it comes to the animations I truly hope that the Jumanji™ slot will be developed by the same team that created the Planet of the Apes™ slot. If so, a lot of excitement can be expected on the reels which totally fits the Jumanji film!

The same goes for innovation as the Planet of the Apes™ slot consists of several innovations making it a one of a kind slot game. In a short period of time, the Planet of the Apes™ slot became one the most popular NetEnt slots of 2017. That’s why I hope that the Jumanji™ slot will be inspired by this branded slot game in order to find some great innovations on the reels as soon as this game is launched further on in 2018.

What will the Jumanji™ slot be all about? I seriously have no clue other than the impressive tiger from the above announcement. I think we can only guess and visualize while being patiently waiting for the new branded NetEnt slot to become available at the NetEnt Casinos at a date still unknown.
