NetEnt signs partnership with British champion jockey Peter Scudamore.

Earlier this week, NetEnt announced it will release its first sports branded product during the 2018/19 National Hunt season. The reason why is because it concerns a slot game which will be based on the career of eight-time Champion Jockey Peter Scudamore after NetEnt managed to sign a partnership with the jockey.

Who is Peter Scudamore?

Although he never won the Grand National (his best result was a 3rd place in 1985), the now 60-year old jockey had an impressive riding. Universally known as “Scu”, Peter Scudamore has ridden a total of 1,678 winners out of 7,521 mounts and, therefore, can be called the most successful jump jockey in history. A great number of these winners were sealed thanks to a close partnership with trainer Martin Pipe. He was the first trainer to refine his methods with a scientific approach. Of Scudamore’s 1,687 winners, 792 were saddled by Pipe. Scu was champion jockey a record eight times (one shared with John Francome), the last seven in succession between 1985 and 1992.

Following Scudamore’s 15-year riding career, Scu became a trainer and is now one of the sport’s best-known and well-respected racing experts. And with all the above credentials, it’s no wonder NetEnt sees a perfect partner in Scudamore for its first sports branded product.

“From our first conversation, NetEnt’s commitment to innovation and passion for creating fantastic products was clear. I am delighted we are joining forces to launch a new slots game that will capture the unbeatable, exhilarating racing experience.”, said Peter Scudamore.

Scudamore’s Super Stakes

Although the image provided by NetEnt shows the name Scudamore’s Super Stakes, I have to admit that I have no clue yet what the name of the unique licensed title is going to be. It could be indeed the name of the first sports-themed branded slot, although Peter Scudamore Online Slot could be an option as well. Whatever the name of the new slot will be, NetEnt announces that thanks to the agreement with Peter Scudamore, the Swedish game developer is able to utilise Scudamore’s image rights. The will also include actual racing content and themed in-game features. Scudamore’s well-known and loved voice will also be used during the Free Spins feature.

“As one of the most revered jockeys and horse racing personalities of all time, Peter Scudamore is the perfect personality for us to partner with to launch our first sports-themed branded title. This is a landmark product for NetEnt and we are sure slots players and racing fans will be thrilled with the results when the game launches next year,” says Bryan Upton, Director of Game Products at NetEnt.

The game is planned to be released during the 2018/19 National Hunt season and will, therefore, capitalise on the excitement of the peak of the jumps season and its world-famous highlights, the Cheltenham Festival and Grand National at Aintree.

NetEnt’s upcoming video slots 2018

The list of NetEnt’s branded slots is growing with Narcos™ and Scudamore’s Super Stakes™ planned for 2018 while fans still have 16 days of waiting to go for another amazing branded slot game to be launched by NetEnt.

It’s from the 22nd of November, players will be enjoying one hell of a branded slot game which involves some of the bravest knights the history has ever known. Ruthless as can be during the raids, vikings left a great impression in the history. One of the most legendary vikings is Ragnar Lothbrok, a Danish/Swedish hero and ruler. The viking is well-known from Viking Age Old Norse poetry and sagas telling that Ragnar distinguished himself by many raids against Francia and Anglo-Saxon England during the 9th century. It’s this former farmer that rises to fame by the successful raids into England and France which eventually results him to become a Scandinavian king with the support of his family and fellow warriors.

A great part of Scandinavia’s history of which the History Channel believes it’s interesting enough to turn into a series. And what a series they’ve come up with. As a result of the successful series which is still ongoing and of which the 6th season is to be aired in 2019 while the second half of season 5 are available in the next few months.

While Vikings fans, and I have to admit I recently became one, can now enjoy the second half of season 5, players at the NetEnt Casinos and Viking fans will soon be treated the one and only branded slot based on the Vikings Series in which you’ll find Ragnar Lothbrok on the reels as one of the best-known legendary Norse heroes.

The upcoming Vikings™ slot, tells the remarkable tales of the lives and epic adventures of the raiders and explorers of the Dark Ages and thanks to this branded video slot, the world of the Vikings is brought back to life! Follow Ragnar Lothbrok as the greatest hero of his age and experience how the fearless warrior himself, as well as Ragnar’s band of Viking brothers and his family, rise to become King of the Viking tribes. The game will be available at the NetEnt Casinos from the 22nd of November.

One month before Santa is planning to get stuck in our chimneys, as his diet during summer turned out to be unsuccessful, you can start to get into the Christmas spirit thanks to a great Christmas-themed video slot. This time no existing games decorated with some snow and a Christmas tree or a traditional Christmas-themed slot, but a rather funny-styled slot that brings a Boom Brothers kind of Santa to the reels. From the 29th November, the Jingle Spins™ slot an interesting gameplay to the NetEnt Casinos, definitely worth a try.

Totally different from the Vikings™ slot and the Jingle Spins™ slot, you’ll be treated a science fiction-themed slot on the 11th December when Wild-O-Tron 3000™ is arriving at the NetEnt Casinos. This game is going to take you to a robot factory in which Wilds are produced as burgers at McDonalds. And trust me, I’m not a fan of mass production, but when it comes to Wilds, I could never disagree.
