Therese Hillman has been appointed new CEO of NetEnt
It was end of March that the Board of NetEnt decided that Per Eriksson should be no longer in the position of CEO at NetEnt. The Board agreed it was time for a new driving force with as a result that President and CEO Per Eriksson stepped down with immediate effect. Today, NetEnt announced that acting CEO Therese Hillman now has been appointed new Group CEO of NetEnt.
New CEO for NetEnt
NetEnt developed well over many years and several parts of the business are developing very well, especially in regulated markets. Nevertheless, it was in March that the members of the Board of NetEnt agreed that the overall performance of the Group wasn’t wat it should be. The company decided it was time for a new driving force to reverse the trend and increase the focus on growth.
Recruitment of a new CEO commenced immediately. Meanwhile, NetEnt appointed Therese Hillman as acting CEO. While in the function as acting CEO, Therese Hillman also remained in her position as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Almost two months passed by and today NetEnt sent out a press release, announcing that Therese Hillman has now been appointed as the new Group CEO of NetEnt.

Therese Hillman has been Chief Financial Officer of NetEnt since January 2017 and acting CEO since March 2018. Before joining NetEnt, she worked in the e-commerce industry for 10 years and was the CEO of Gymgrossisten, a subsidiary of Qliro Group. She has also been a member of the Board of Unibet. Therese Hillman has an M.Sc. in Accounting and Finance from the Stockholm School of Economics.
