It was in July 2018 that the third leg of NetEnt’s enchanting Fairytale Legends Trilogy was released by the company and Red Riding Hood Touch® and Hansel and Gretel Touch® were accompanied by Mirror Mirror Touch®. This time no red-caped girl and no lost children, but Snow White getting in trouble because of her jealous stepmother.
While this mobile video slot didn’t get the official name, there’s no doubt that Mirror Mirror Touch® is inspired by the fairy tale Snow White, bringing one of the oldest fairy tales to life on the reels. Snow White was published for the first time in 1812 as part of the collection Grimms’ Fairy Tales.
A wicked stepmother
Snow White, and with that Mirror Mirror Touch®, is telling the story about a young girl famous for her skin white as snow, lips red as blood, and hair black as ebony. Snow White was the name given by her beloved mother who loved her to bits. But after the unfortunate death of her mother, her naive father, the king, remarried. Little did he know, or little did he want to see, that this new wife was about to become a wicked stepmother for his daughter. She and her rather ridiculous mirror were about to cause nothing but trouble.
Life goes on peacefully as long as the famous mirror answered the question “Magic mirror in my hand, who is the fairest in the land?” with “My queen, you are the fairest in the land,”. Just, until that one dreadful day – when Snow White turned into a beautiful young woman – and the mirror started to give the queen a very disappointing answer.
Who is the fairest one of all?
This is where extreme jealousy turns Snow White’s life into a nightmare. The queen starts to hate Snow White for stealing her “throne” which eventually results in the queen ordering a huntsman to take Snow White into the deepest woods to be killed. To prove her dead, the queens asks for her lungs and heart. However, the huntsman finds himself unable to kill Snow White returns with the heart of a wild animal instead
“Mirror, mirror, on the wall – who is the fairest one of all?”
Spared by the Huntsman, Snow White ends up at a cottage which turns out to be the home of seven hard-working dwarf miners who don’t hesitate to take in the young girl. While Snow White finds a new home with the friendly dwarfs Doc, Sneezy, Grumpy, Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, and Dopey, the mirror keeps telling the queen that Snow White is the fairest of them all.
Does Snow White end up living happily ever after??
Just after the dwarfs left for their jobs at the diamond mine, the Queen disguised as an old woman arrives at Snow White’s new home and talks her into eating a poisoned apple. Warned by the forest animals, the dwarfs rush home but are too late to save Snow White.
Surrounded by the mourning dwarfs, Snow White lies in a glass coffin when Prince charming shows up. Just to awaken Snow White from the deathlike spell with “love’s first kiss”, ending up living happily ever after!
Mirror Mirror Touch®
Thanks to Fairytale Legends: Mirror Mirror Touch®, you again can have an enchanting time on the reels. Just like this is the case with Red Riding Hood Touch® and Hansel and Gretel Touch®, Mirror Mirror Touch® is packed with magical video slot features including Fairy Magic Spin, the Fairy Surprise, and the Fairy Mirror Feature.
Now the Fairytale Legends Trilogy is complete, it’s probably the last time that NetEnt’s fairy shows up in a mobile slot to activate slot features randomly. Did we see Red Riding Hood and Hansel and Gretel next to the reels in the first two legs of the Fairytale Legends Trilogy, this time it’s Snow White. Of course, we try to avoid evilness on the reels, but no Mirror Mirror Touch® without the wicked stepmother on a symbol. The other symbol pictures Snow White, but what about the seven dwarfs?
They will find their way to the game, making an appearance in the Mining Bonus. However, wither two of them have a day off or NetEnt used the fairy tale Snow White and the five dwarfs for Mirror Mirror Touch®.
Mirror Mirror Touch® features
As mentioned before, some magical mobile slot features can be expected in Mirror Mirror Touch®. Mirror Re-Spins, the Fairy Magic Spin Feature, the Fairy Suprise Feature, the Fairy Mirror Feature, a Free Spins Feature, Coin Wins, and the Mining Bonus Feature is what will cause a lot of magic on the reels in the last leg of the Fairytale Legends Trilogy.
NetEnt’s own fairy is back
Seen before in the two Fairtytale Legends slots, it’s NetEnt’s own fairy responsible for the activation of either the Fairy Magic Spin, a Fairy Surprise, or the Fairy Mirror Feature.
Fairy Magic Spin is there to create a cluster of 5 to 7 symbols which often results in a big win.
In the Fairy Surprise Feature, a selected random symbol will turn other symbols into the selected symbol just until a win appears.
The Fairy Mirror feature will show the Mirror symbol placed in the middle of reel 3, awarding a Mirror Re-Spin.
Mirror Re-Spin feature
This last Fairy Feature has a lot in common with the Mirror Re-Spin feature. In the Fairy Mirror feature, the fairy places the mirror on reel 3. But the Fairy Mirror Re-Spin feature activates when the mirror is landing on reel 3 in the main game or on reels 1, 2 and 3 during Free Spins.
In both, the mirror will transform into either the Princess or the Queen symbol. Once transformed, a Mirror Re-Spin is awarded. The symbols of the same type as the transformed Mirror symbol remains in the same position on the reels during the Mirror Re-Spin. Just until no new symbols of that same type appear.
Three magical chests
Three magical chests anywhere on the reels will activate one of the three Bonus Features. Just by picking a chest you’ll activate either Free Spins, a Coin win or the pick and click Mining Bonus.
This last one is giving you a chance to break some diamonds into pieces for a coin win to show up. The Free Spins Feature in Mirror Mirror Touch® activates 10 free spins in which Mirror Re-Spins are at your disposal as well. A Coin Win, as usual, will award an instant coin win, this time equal to your current bet multiplied by x15.
